  • Industry Updated: Sedagli Under New Ownership

After a year in the manufacturing side of things, LumiusRBLX, co-founder and now former co-owner of Sedagli, an Italian luxury automotive brand, will be leaving the company effective immediately. The known Untergelrich creator will also be leaving Uemuki Group as a whole. When asked by Solara owner lushbeta3, Lumius cited lacking motivation and a feeling of uselessness, saying: "Continuously having less and less motivation to keep Sedagli running as well as not feeling useful anymore due to other people joining that can do everything I can do, just better." He made sure to specify this did not affect any Uemuki Group cars in his iconic town game, including Sedagli's own models, the aging Gioia fastback, exclusive Modesto SUV, and recently released Fulmante coupe alongside Untergelrich-exclusive cars from the group such as the Atai Inu, Yuiitsu UV, and that aforementioned Modesto. "I am thanking the whole of Uemuki for this awesome experience I've had since I joined 1 year ago. I have learned a lot and laughed a lot too, I appreciate that a lot and I appreciate every single person in there." LumiusRBLX no longer has his Admin role within the Uemuki Group server. Uemuki's Brand Manager and former co-owner of Sedagli, Adinsapo, also made an announcement in Autoworks revealing that Portocello owner KASH1R0 will be taking over the brand The announcement from the renown builder reads: "As of today, ownership of Sedagli will be transferred from me and LumiusRBLX to KASH1R0.We simply do not have time for Sedagli, and want to focus more on our main projects. It was a lot of fun, and we hope the new owner will bring the brand to success." Adinsapo alongside running Sedagli with Lumius also runs Kayano-Owari International (KOI), the well known Atai Corporation, small-timer Diode, and Korean Sinuo, the final one co-run with Uemuki's Marketing and HR Manager Alaconuriss. The leadership change is effective immediately as of today, and we here at Carblox are interested to see what Sedagli does next under KASH1R0's leadership. This is his second Italian brand, his first being Portocello, and with the huge uptick in quality since his days running Alkazar, the future of the company looks bright. Adinsapo ends the announcement with this: "Thank you for your support in our project." Follow Carblox's feed for all types of ro-automotive news regarding changes in leadership and both builders and brands changing over time along the next moves we'll see from Sedagli, Atai, Untergelrich, and more!

  • Industry Digest 24 - Another One in the Casket

What We Missed Yato Motors will return as a subsidiary of axflud's Escori Motors. Classic car producing Portocello starts off with a win in the Quinoa, alongside it's next car, the Notte. Headed by ex-Alkazar CEO, build quality has massively improved. Gallus and Vuelo have taken to the skies in aircraft alongside Hakumi and their helicopter business. Osaka has announced their debut model, a ultra-luxury saloon. There is no information regarding the car. Headline: Lyx Has Shuttered Lyx was a Swedish electric luxury manufacturer, in other words, a direct competitor to Elektrisk. But it seems the latter is all that is left. As of April 9th, Lyx is officially dead, after developing it's debut electric cars for well over 2 years and it's CEO getting an exclusive interview with Carblox. The company joins Rovero as another dead Quo Automotive brand, leaving Konian, Fumi, Hyperion, Rokuta, and Maia. But within that, only Konian, Fumi, and Rokuta are active, with the other two either being dormant or possibly under so much development secrecy it's not really what it seems and turns out they're on the cusp of something jaw-dropping. As we detailed in that interview Lyx struggled with designing it's cars, but when asked, Quo CEO totallyydom told our writer Catalyst_0 that "no direction" was the primary reasoning of Lyx's death. This video was attached on the death statement of Lyx. On April 24th, GT2R_S, CEO of the extinct brand showed off all the prototypes of the cars that could have been: the 2023 Lyx Okant SUV and Erovra coupe. We can see Okants going all the way back to the original reveal video for the car to as recent as the Erovra prototype GT2R_S drove around in Untergelrich on occasion. This makes for another young Quo Automotive brand dead alongside Rovero. Carblox interviewed Lyx's CEO on it's development problems, which seems to have foreshadowed Lyx not being long for this industry. Farewell, Lyx, farewell. Nimbus Beta Releases Facelifted Veir Nimbus' original Veir was well, underwhelming. It was definitely rough around the edges. Well, that roughness has been mostly ebbed away with a facelift that is so improved that it feels not-to-dissimilar a whole new model year. It's impressive how much Nimbus quality has improved from it's XS MK3 CD, released only two short months ago in February. The Veir is planned to come in four trims, two being gas powered, the V300 Grand Sport and V300 Luxury, and the remaining trims being electric This is not the final model by any means. This the the open beta of the car, meaning this is by no means the car's final form. There's little features beyond it's dashing looks, only the hood opens (similar to PIO's models) and the current tuning is mediocre and poor. Despite that, there's promise for this to be a great car. The car was the centerpiece for Nimbus's stand at the Spring Expo of Automobiles. The Rokuta Amethyst is Too Beautiful For ROBLOX Rokuta's upcoming Amethyst is unironically one of the most excellently designed cars in the industry. On April 16th, the company uploaded a promotional video of the car, giving a formal introduction to the car. And it's safe to say if there's any design awards upcoming, either be at the Inspiration Awards in summer or other, this car will at least get nominated, though winning wouldn't be unjustified. According to kizashi_ko, CEO of the French-Japanese brand, the car will be based on a universal chassis provided by Quo, Rokuta's on-off parent group. The chassis will be adjusted for Rokuta. Formerly known as Kuzumi, the up'n'comer left Quo to become an independent brand. Recently, it has been implied by both Quo and Rokuta that the manufacturer has rejoined the Floridian company's automotive division. The stunning Amethyst is not the only car the maker has in development either, as the company's unrevealed Esmont J-segment SUV in the pipeline. Neither car has a release date, but with kizashi_ko being more open about development compared to Rovero and Lyx, this might break Quo's current death streak with it's younger brands by building interest over time. Carblox will keep you update to date on all things Rokuta. Exclusive Issue #01 On April 13th, Carblox released it's debut issue of it's magazine Exclusive. The exciting new venture interviews KOI CEO Adinsapo along with Sonya CEO ItsFireFox2006. The magazine dives into towns, hot topics, and more. Read it here. Outro Thank you for waiting on Industry Digest 24 while I was unwell! Expect SEA coverage later this week! Sorry for the short one today, this is more a April digest, there will likely be a proper May Industry Digest in approximately a week or so from now.

  • Industry Updated: inNVNAte

This just in, the third generation of APEX CEO has just revealed himself to be… Avxnturador! The NVNA CEO took to Autoworks today to reveal himself as the new CEOof the record-breakimy, industry-defining company, quote: “Ever since we announced our intentions of growing into a fully fledged car company, we have been working towards that goal, however we have severely underestimated the hill that we, as a small company, needed to climb.” This marks a new page for APEX, which has been relatively silent since around IAS 2021 in late summer. Alongside revealing himself the newest CEO of APEX, we also got more information regarding the restructuring of APEX, Oaken, and NVNA (formerly known as Novena). “I, Avxnturador, will own APEX and Oaken, together forming the parent company APEXgroup With this news, NVNA is no longer a small and independent company; NVNA will join the APEXgroup as a main company.” This will make APEXgroup the newest major group alongside Quo Automotive, SEGment, Divisōr, Uemuki Group, and more. There has yet to be a large amount of reactions as the news is extremely fresh, but so far the general consensus is positive. “To be clear, I do not currently own both groups as of now, as the transitionary period shall be taking place over a bit of days. Itzt will still own the group and will act as CEO until the transitionary period ends completely, in which another announcement will be made.” The transition is not going to be instant, and Avxnturador told the public we‘ll have to wait for more info regarding the transition in the coming days. Avxnturador also mentioned in the general chat the Acesera and other NVNA cars will be delayed so he can spend more time with the other APEXgroup brands. “We started small, and now we are something much bigger. We can’t express our gratitude enough for sticking with us throughout this journey. We’re just getting started.” CarBlox will keep you updated on the upcoming changes.

  • Industry Digest 22: Dealing in Automotive Futures

This is going to be an interesting one folks. Hope you enjoy. What We Missed NLEGotcha starts new brand Diavolo, unveiling debut supercar Emperio Alkazar Once Again Steals From Uemuki Group, CEO Claims The Stolen Models are "Placeholders" Alkazar keeps on dying and reviving Rokuta SEEMS to have rejoined Quo Automotive as it's logo is the server banner for Quo Group's Discord Rokuta is making an Esmont car. We know nothing, as per usual. A <13 year old on Twitter is claiming Uemuki Group cars as his brand Olar's. The backlash is brutal. CarBlox CEO Catalyst_0 Finally Blocked by Catus (ex-LF) CEO Chompy. Not much quick takes today! Audio Armageddon March 22nd was a horrible day for the ro-automotive industry. The controversial (to say the least) update mandated all new audios private by default and all older audios longer than 6-seconds private. Most damning though, is this, to quote the initial announcement written by BitFist: "When we turn on the new privacy settings, the audio assets in your experience will stop working if they were not uploaded by the same user or Group who created the experience." The ro-automotive industry's audio is primarily sourced from third-parties, meaning many car companies lost their revs, horns, engine sounds, and even trunk door SFX, but also meaning games like Untergelrich which aggregate fictional cars would have to be updated. LumiusRBLX, Untergelrich's owner and Sedagli CEO spent days updating many cars who lost their sounds, either through contacting the car's maker or replacing it with other unaffected sounds. The iconic Boombox gear has been rendered useless, and untold models have been silenced. Worst of all, ROBLOX has remained completely silent in this blatantly anti-developer decision. This has broken the camels back, pushing multiple people in the ro-auto sector and beyond to finally leave the platform after years of ROBLOX failing it's developers. This specific update has caused a much more catastrophe, and has cemented ROBLOX's disinterest in working for it's community. Headline: Goodbye, Itzt Tyler, also known as Itzt (itzt) is gone. According to a tweet made by the APEX CEO, 2022 will be the last year he's on ROBLOX. "Regressive updates and poor asset security show how much they (don't) care about devs [developers]" "My current projects are my last. Thanks everyone for everything, it was fun while it lasted." Yesterday, Itzt announced plans for the next CEO of APEX Automobiles, the company Tyler has run since 2017. No one knows who it is, and speculation has been wild. Some have though of Colt CEO Ono_Three (steve_dmc or Steve), where both Tyler and Steve have outright denied the rumours. Itzt has also confirmed no one at Quo nor Quo itself will become CEO, ruling people like BlindedEpisode and GT2R_S out. The new CEO would be the third after itzt and APEX's founder legally_blind. As far as public knowledge, no one knows. Alongside revealing the ownership shift, Itzt also teased at a new sub-brand. Oaken, APEX's current subsidiary, was shuttered in July 2021, meaning this could be a replacement for the luxury sibling to APEX. To finish off, all we know at the moment is that the APEX Elara is still in an uncompleted phase, and that it will more likely than not be the final APEX from the reknown CEO, who led APEX into becoming the richest, most recognizable, and most reknown ro-automotive brand this side of Avanta. The future looks bright for APEX, and CarBlox will keep you updated on what that future is. The "I" in PIO Means Italian No, not literally. Performance International Omega, or PIO, has just unveiled a new subsidiary based out of Italy called Aspirato Motori alongside a revised Artois SUV and it's boot-based cousin. The SPDMSTR600 and Artois 5.0 Dynamic are two peas in the same pod, featuring design so similar they're virtually the same at a glance. But things change underneath the hood and behind the driver's seat. The Aspirato features a "Formula 1 calibrated" V6 called the Luna Rossa that the company says is "race-bred" while the PIO is powered by a V8 for a "smooth luxury experience". We also learned from the announcement that the Aspirato SPDMSTR600 produces 600 horsepower while the Artois makes 500 HP. We don't know any other specifications regarding the cars, nor a release date. The design is more akin to traditional PIOs than the Artois Haunted, a limited edition SUV from last year. Both cars will feature PIO's ConnectedDriver 3 infotainment system and the similarities carry on into the cabin. They're extremely alike in many ways. Although, the time it'll take to get those models is in the air, as the ROBLOX Sound Privacy update will delay PIO orders until futher notice according to a March 23rd announcement. We'll have to wait and see for more information. Farewell Brick Rigbones Another goodbye today as Divisōr's Rigbone will be discontinuing it's CSG-built trucks as of April 2nd. These include brick trucks made from 2017-2020 as the trucking brand moves onto it's fully Blender future. Their models will be set offsale and will no longer be purchasable. The next generation is going to be "as customizable as the original generations" according to Joshuaed17REVIVAL, Divisōr's and Rigbone's CEO on "Farewell, bricks! You served us well" -CEO of Rigbone Meanwhile, here's what the company's Blender-based trucks are looking to be. No, this is just a model presentation, but it gives you an idea of what coming up. Alongside that, the 2021 Rigbone Zemur is available with this link. We're Not Dead For those who never knew that Ceinder is but one of other brands at Ceinder Automotive Group, guess what? Yosh, headed by yoshiegglol, is making a comeback. On March 19th, the company make a vague announcement revealing it's return, showing us absolutely nothing with the caption: "Something is cooking. We're not dead." The blurb also held a string of seemingly randomized letters and numbers. Could it be a video link? TGJmdSBXcnFhbiwgZXJ2em50dmFycS4= We otherwise have no other information on the car, but thinking of what Yosh has made in the past, a possible 2022 Jedna could be in the pipeline. Espila? Releasing Something? Espila, the first brand in Espila-Unity Automotive Group (EUA Group) has been extremely fickle. It failed to bring the Venus Viteza Spyder to market and has been sitting on multiple promising cars for months, going back as far as IAS 2022. But on March 16th, HanCS75 "rereleased unofficially" released the 2021 Espila Ley G5, the company's only car to see markets. Now, this writer hasn't driven the G5 since Untergelrich was called "Untitled Vehicle Game" and Espila's only car was removed, so this is a welcome redebut. The car has no interior, unlike upcoming Espilas, though it even getting released is something to marvel at. Pick up a Ley G5 here. To top it off quickly, the XG W12 (Espila's sub-brand Venus's luxury SUV) was announced to be switching from a W16 sourced from Divisōr in place of a in-house W12 on 03/03, which promptly got this brutal response from Divisōr: The Königsberg Zertus was added into Untergelrich that same day. See That Suru? Zanic has unveiled it's car to replace the Zanic Horizon SUV: the Suru on March 13th. The company has cemented itself in video advertising, and this is not an exception, being revealed in a video watchable here. CEO qrzaDev claimed this on 03/07: Ever heard of a mid-sized suv with a 740hp 5.0L Twin-turbo V6, 4 seats, gullwing doors and active aero? The company calls the Suru the "worlds most powerful V6 SUV", though with PIO's launching Aspirato and it's SPDMSTR, it has some competition. Though, unlike the aforementioned, the Suru is not based on a PIO Artois, or any other car. The car is a stunner, and definitely won't disappoint in the looks department. There's no release date, and we have no idea what's happened to the Stellaris II's development, but with Zanic attending Autoworks's Spring Expo of Automobiles 2022, we'll likely see more of the midsizer. Joshuaed17REVIVAL To Be UniQ's Designer Today, CarBlox is was given the exclusive story that UniQ will be bringing on Joshuaed17REVIVAL, CEO of Rigbone, to design the next Origala. This news comes from UniQ CEO v3terann today alongside a teaser photo of the upcoming car. We don't have anymore information we can share regarding the news, you'll have to wait for official press releases that are coming soon. Marvino Cars is Mostly Gone Today marks the end of the Era. Oh, and an era. Marvino Cars is finally leaving. Today on the 29th, CEO Catalyst_0 announced he'd be merging Marvino into Oar Automotive Incorporated or OAI, his Spanish brand that recently acquired the brand that's a part of Uemuki Group. "Marvino will be transforming into a engine and drivetrain technology company as that's where I need it right now. It's now renamed to Marvino Mobility Technologies" The CEO also gave insight into the future of it's models. The currently discontinued models will remain discontinued and the Era nameplate will be passed onto OAI. The 2022 Voyage is the last Voyage, as OAI has a direct successor to the Voyage that "will be a surprise to many". The company has given not much information regarding the change, but the CEO said this: "Marvino will be designing the engine and electric battery pack among other components for the 2022 OAI Sina and the Voyage-successor. Marvino will likely get into other things too." So while this is the end of an era, it's the dawn of a new one. Marvino is known as one of the most fickle brands, but even it had fans, such as Razzo's Founder, who passed away in November 2021. We'll have to wait to see what's next.

  • Industry Updated: Yosh Decoded

Shortly after we uploaded Industry Digest 22, one of our amazing readers (keeping anonymous for good reason) decoded the word blurb Yosh CEO yoshiegglol attached to his announcement that Yosh isn't dead. The decoder use shows the message in it's entirety And it's exactly what we speculated: a new Yosh Jedna. While this cleared up something exciting for the brand's car, it's all we know. So, let's sit down and wait, since what ever CAG's brand has been working on has been a long coming, and we can't wait for what it comes out to be! Also we're updating Industry Digest 22 with something.

  • Industry Digest 21: Star Domination

First Industry Digest of 2022 has the last numbers of last year. This has been in the works for a bit. 👍 Headline: Atai Beyond the Stars Atai held their "Beyond the Stars" event at the event center in Untigelrich yesterday, unveiling the highly anticipated 2022 Atai Stardom, a ruggedly-designed and stylish sub-compact SUV. The event went relatively smoothly until after the exciting announcement, where it quickly descended into chaos. According to Adinsapo, who presented the Stardom, said automotive will be capable both in the city and off the beaten path. The car seats 5 and features a hybrid drive train alongside the other standard fare and quality of a car from Adinsapo and Uemuki Group. Previous to the event held a raffle for the Atai Lychee, which is based upon the Stardom. The Stardom is expected to ship between February and March 19th. CarBlox will keep tabs on the crossover. The Marvelous Mk3 Moethus Starting with the Ogras and continuing with the Vaike, Ceinder Automotive Group's name brand Ceinder has been making winner after winner, heavily improving their quality. In fact, in spring 2021, this writer critiqued the poor tuning and awkward design of the cars the company made. Since then, they have become one of my favorites. On the 16th, Ceinder unveiled the 3rd generation Moethus, the company's full size SUV. And safe to say, the excellent design continues, taking inspiration and ques from the Vaike sports coupe. According to lookitswierdo, Ceinder's CEO, the car features a dual motor with produces up to 1000 horsepower and seats 7. "As fast as a sports car, yet as practical as an SUV" Ceinder has not given us a release date, but from on-the-road prototypes, the car seems to be nearing production ready. It will likely release prior to Q3 2022. Tech Tip: ConnectedDriver Finally Enters 2022 Performance International Omega (or PIO) has produced their own in-house infotainment system called ConnectedDriver for two years now. And for years the system always lagged behind others in aesthetics. Well, on February 20th, the company introduced two new versions of it: ConnectedDriver EVO III 7.4 and ConnectedDriver+ EVO III 11. The press release regarding the complete visual overhaul led to rounded corners, a refined design, and major improvements in usability across the board. Finally, Navigation, PIO's Helper voice assistant, and other fancy features will be saved for ConnectedDriver+ on premium trims of PIO models. The company announced with their first tease of the update that only PIO vehicles manufactured after February 1st will receive the third generation infotainment system preinstalled. This includes new models like the Egoiste. CarBlox has reached out to find out information regarding the ability to update current generation PIOs to the new update. PIO CEO MagnaSteyr told CarBlox this: "Technically CDII and CDI models used unsupported hardware." "In real life CDII would have used x86 computing power and specially designed software for x86. Not to mention a slow a** hard drive" "The infotainment screen won't be proportionate as the old CDII screen." Magna did say that an update is maybe possible, but it seems unlikely. Alongside this, more excitingly, ConnectedDriver III currently is a decal, but the company writes in it's press release that the OS will become an interactive part of the driver experience, with plans for features such as adjustable mood lighting. There's no confirmed release date for ConnectedDriver Evolution III, but it's likely going to ship on the newest PIO's. This marks another ro-automotive brand heavily improving their software offering, bringing them into the modern world. Tech Quay Times will cover any more developments on this story. Outro This feels quite short compared to Industry Digest 20, with only three stories, but with exciting things on the way alongside working on Tech Quay Times 3, I felt it best to cover the biggest things we've gotten in February. Industry Digest 22 will definitely come out in March, where I will try a new method of writing to cover news more effectively.

  • Industry Updated: Ctyel Group is Unsafe

(08/02/2022 - 9:40 PM MDT) This is not what anyone expected to be the first article of 2022, but here we are. This is a warning you HAVE to follow. As of 08/02/2022, buying a Ctyel model will introduce viruses. The Ctyel Motors ROBLOX Group has been hijacked by a user of the name youshoulddothisnow or Mac. Report both him and the Ctyel ROBLOX Group immediately. He also got access to all Ctyel models, which youshoulddothisnow has included viruses in. Do not get a new model. If you purchased a Ctyel prior to 08/02/2022, you should have no worries. This entire news post comes from Ctyel CEO Dev_Jar, who earlier today was rebranding Ctyel and deleting its group. He revealed the shocking situation in the IVAI Automotive Group's Discord. Update (08/02/2022 - 9:46 PM MDT): All Ctyel models have been put offsale, but the group still remains. CarBlox will update you on further developments within this story. Stay safe.

  • Trendletter 1: Industry Recap 2021

What a great way to say sayonara to the first year (technically 9 months) of ro-automotive coverage than with a recap! This list contains: Biggest Trends of 2021 Sports Utility Vehicles When 2021 rolled in, SUVs did too. Everyone had some sort of interest in making an SUV, be it a crossover, coupe, sport, or full sized hauler. One of the most sold cars, the Elektrisk Polaris, is a crossover, and with even more big releases such as the Colt Okami and the final version of the APEX Elara (spiritual successor to the Oaken Tehama), alongside Unity and Venus making their own SUVs. While SUVs in real life are quite mundane, with what we've seen from the ro-automotive community, sports utility vehicles are in. The community made one of the most frustrating trends in the IRL car industry something to be excited for. We expect the SUV trend to continue as more test their skills with the bigger SUVs. With the impending launch of the Okami (of course, the date is NOT confirmed, do not think otherwise), SUVs will be more recognized. Economy Vehicles While we got plenty of million dollar hypercars like the 4 million dollar Electility FX, we got a ton of economy vehicles, mostly due to the CFC07 platform being slightly overused. From the Atai Tanoshi and the Lastin Sportback to the Sonya Plasmas and Flora Crosspower Es of the world, making a car that is not only mainstream, but unique, creative and for many vehicles, on the older model years is a challenge many took head on, to varying degrees of success. With what we expect head in 2022 with more economy cars, giving unique takes on what's important in a budget car. The SUV trend will likely bind with this trend with sub-compact SUVs like the Solara Trival and Marvino Voyage coming out. We have the hunch the trend to expand to more vehicle segments and more companies. Conclusion I wanted to add more to this, but I'm leaving for a New Year's function any minute now (as of writing this in the MDT timezone at nearly 10 PM). I had to cut out a ton of things I had planned for this. Happy New Year's to everyone and thank you so much for 9 months of reading CarBlox! Can't wait to join you all in 2022! Also special thanks to girl6143 for this CarBlox-version of this amazing truck! EDIT - Jan 1, 2022: Disabled commenting on this article.

  • SPECIAL REPORT: Dishing About the Development of the Okant and Ervöra with Lyx CEO GT2R_S

(Sorry for the delayed interview, things were busy for me IRL) On December 18th, I and GT2R_S sat down to talk about Lyx, which depending on who you are, may or may not think the brand flew under most radars, remaining extremely quiet. Now, if you catch GT2R_S in Untergelrich, you'll find him usually driving an unreleased model: the Ervöra. Well, here's some insight into the building of both cars, alongside the challenges both cars presented. Article Information For this interview, Catalyst_0 will be shortened to Cat and GT2R_S will be referred to as Kai. As per usual, since the paragraphs get a bit long in this discussion, I'll space out each person speaking when needed. I also break up some of the largest paragraphs. Grammatical errors (spelling, capitalization, punctuation) were also fixed. Otherwise, they are direct quotes from when we talked. We're using the final edited versions. Interview Cat: So, I'll be asking about Lyx, the Okant and Erövra, and the Quo-Lyx relationship Kai: Alright Cat: So, let's start off: Is the current version of the Okant we've been seeing the final design for the headlights, the shape, or can we expect it to change again? Kai: Well the Okant has always been a bit of a tricky car for me to make, the first version the "prototype" was always fairly messy and I feel unfortunately because of what happened with IAS this year the car still isn't how I want it to be, it's rushed messy and needs work so yes, you can expect changes from the version seen at IAS. Cat: Is it messy via the body lines, the quality of lines, or is there even more? What core design elements do you find need the most work? What is exactly how you want, if anything? Kai: It's mostly the rear design, the Okant from the start was a hard car to design and for whatever reason the Okant seems to be cursed with something that seems to make it really hard to have a rear design that suits the front it always seems off whenever we try a different design, the whole car itself feels bland, like a blank canvas. Cat: Is the design stalemate the biggest contributor to the development? How has development been outside the looks? Kai: Outside of the development on styling we are working on other parts on the car, I know that to most it seems like development on the car just isn't happening but it's been hard to make developments on a car which doesn't even have a final design. Cat: Yea, the car's design does heavily affect how the interior and screens look. Moving away from the design, do you have any ideas on how Lyx will differentiate itself from the competition? Is it going to aim to be a luxury brand, will it go the extra mile and become an ultra-luxurious car brand? Sorry for the quite abrupt segue Kai: Originally the idea of Lyx was to be an ultra-luxury brand but later I decided that Lyx would be a performance-oriented luxury brand of course there's always going to be a more luxury-oriented trim which would also count as the base trim for Lyx cars which I'll drop the name of, "Tamar" named after the Tamar Valley in the North of Tasmania, would be the trim of Lyx's more luxury-oriented vehicles, other trims which I will not yet give the names of yet will be like different lifestyle options, there will be a trim which will pack a punch. Cat: Do you think the design of your cars reflects Lyx's brand ideology? Kai: Yes, they would. Cat: Nice! Now, with Autoworks' Winter Showcase now the Spring Autoshow, do you plan on bringing Lyx to the show? If not, why? Is it for similar reasons as BlindedEpisode or is it for completely unrelated things? Kai: I do plan to bring Lyx to the Spring Autoshow although I will not say much about what I have planned for Lyx for the Autoshow. One thing that is related to concepts, a Lyx Concept will be seeing a revival soon. Cat: Speaking of concepts, let's talk the Erövra. Has development been slow for it with the Okant or has designing it been easier? Kai: Development on the Erövra was rushed as it was built in only a week just before the IAS cars and coffee, having the Okant in its sort of final design form helped form up the design for the Erövra however, the Erövra has fallen to the same fault of the Okant, it's design is bland a [and?] feels unfinished, the interior will be completely redone in favour of the Okant's interior when that is made as the current one feels bland and generic, almost as if some has used some generic base. Cat: What is the main reason you think Lyx cars specifically fall into this trap of off-the-shelf-ness? Kai: Blueprints. Cat: Could you elaborate? Kai: When making the Erövra and Okant I used blueprints as a base, essentially stealing other parts of other brands' designs but I always try to draw the cars away from looking like the car that I based it off. Bolt [i_B0LT] is always helping improve the designs and just recently I have stopped the use of Blueprints for future Lyx vehicles. Cat: Let's talk marketing, since this interview has made me wonder: will we be getting another global unveiling video on YouTube for when you've pinned down a design you love? How outdated do you think the current public video for Lyx is? Kai: I believe there will be a new video once we have a design I like since well, the current public one is old and defiantly outdated, uploaded back in March this year it is 9 months old. Cat: Thanks for reminding me, damn Lyx is going on one year soon. Early congratulations on the anniversary. To begin to wrap up, let's get into the other half of this interview: Lyx and Quo. How has Lyx being a Quo Automotive brand affected the company, and affected you? Kai: Lyx being a part of Quo hasn’t really affected the brand or me, the only real effect that it has had on the brand is the technology which we still do not have. People thinking Lyx is bad because it’s under quo are people who are just finding a reason to hate on it without actually looking into things. Cat: Shame that some people still carry around this mentality, it's definitely not fun. To put a bow on our conversation: What do you think will be next for Lyx after the Erövra, the Okant, are both released? Do you think the Lyx Concept we'll be seeing in 2022 will be the next thing on the list, or do you have other ideas? Kai: I have many plans for 2022, the Okänt will be the first to be released then the Erövra and then any new car which will come into development, the Lyx concept you will see in 2022 may be the next Lyx but I can’t confirm. Cat: I can't wait to see what's in store, Lyx has been pretty quiet to the public. It was my pleasure, truly, to have the chance to talk with you. Kai: No problem. Conclusion That's all folks. We discovered the design of the upcoming cars is leaving the Lyx team dizzy, and the Erövra isn't anywhere close to its final form, is only made in a week. This interview also gave us insight into the "Tamar" trim and what the future has in store for this performance-luxury manufacturer. Feel free to leave your own opinions and join the Lyx conversation. Please leave some feedback on my questions and question style, as they help me improve CarBlox's interviews and stories. • SPECIAL REPORT: Talking with Hyperion and Elektrisk CEO BlindedEpisode

On Saturday, December 11th, I sat down with BlindedEpisode, CEO of Hyperion and alongside being CEO, is Founder of Elektrisk AB. From interesting info on the Ravenna to getting some insight into Elektrisk's recent media campaign on Twitter, this is a exclusive look at Blinded's two companies. Article Information For this article, I will be referring to BlindedEpisode as BE, highlighted in blue, and Catalyst_0 will be shorted to Cat, highlighted in yellow. Since the paragraphs get a bit long in this interview, I'll space out each person speaking when needed. I also break up some of the largest paragraphs. Grammatical mistakes were also corrected. Otherwise they are direct quotes from our meeting. Interview Cat: So, how are you doing? BE: Good Cat: Great, so I'm going to be asking you about Elektrisk, Hyperion, and a few other topics. BE: Sounds good. Cat: Let's start off, how has Hyperion Ravenna development been going? The company has remained silent since unveiling it earlier this year. Has there been any big issues? BE: The Ravenna is on a snail's pace as of now, since I've been going around and working on at least 6 other cars as well as real-life responsibilities. It's currently not a high-priority at the moment, but development for Hyperion in general will hopefully ramp up in the future. Cat: Do you feel the Hyperion Ravenna is going to be facing stiff competition from Colt's Okami, Divisor's Konigsberg Zertus, and Elektrisk's Polaris or will it be targeting different demographics? You've said in the past (and I hope I'm remembering correctly) that you want to position Hyperion as company known for making cars that people could take camping or something of the like. How does this play into your endgame for the brand? BE: The Ravenna is sort of all of those three cars combined, off-roading capability, fair performance as well as solid technology. However, the Ravenna specifically targets those who enjoy adventuring, off-roading, overlanding, etc. while being friendly enough to haul the whole family to the football game. I mostly vision Hyperion as a brand for people who want something fun to drive and adventure with, whether its camping in the forest or burning rubber on a track day. I suppose you could say that Hyperion is transitioning from typical consumer cars to something more exciting and something that has identity. Cat: That's nice! The Ravenna is going to be bringing a ton to the table as well as usher in a new era of Hyperion that will be more unique than Hyperion had been in the past. Now, to close on this topic, what vehicle class do you think is next for Hyperion? Will any previous Hyperion models be getting remade or will this be the start of a new lineup? BE: Perhaps a performance-oriented car with a manual, I won't spoil too much though. The initial plan for the restructuring of Hyperion was to introduce new generations of existing models, with a few receiving renames (such as the Ravenna from Acheron) and others being axed entirely if deemed unfit (although highly unlikely this is to happen). The proposed idea of 80s-90s Hyperions may be seeing familiar nameplates in their late 20th century form. Cat: I can't wait to see what you and the team at Hyperion have in store! BE: Thank you. Cat: Now, over at Elektrisk, how do you feel the company's community has been? I've seen some amazing works such as the unofficial Polaris advert and people enjoy customizing and changing up their cars, even with more vexatious people like Sev_n making "Performance" trims of your company's debut car, the Polaris. BE: It's quite hard to believe that Elektrisk was able to grow its own community, not directly heavily relying on another larger community such as the Autoworks server. Seeing people enjoy the Polaris is a nice reminder that people appreciate our work, but I think the future that's in preparation will truly accelerate Elektrisk. The Polaris 2 is just to put us on the map, like Tesla and their Roadster in 2008 (before the Model S). Future projects under Elektrisk will be what gets us going and I'm glad we already have an audience ready to see that. Cat: Is there anything you'd want to improve with the Polaris 2 that you couldn't on the 2021 Polaris? BE: I'm sorry could you elaborate on that? Cat: As of right now, the Polaris has very little flaws, aside from a somewhat over-minimalist dashboard look and bugs that are mostly solved in a few minutes. These bugs I found in the Elektrisk bug reports channel in the Discord. I've personally had no bugs on my Polaris. BE: Honestly I'd probably not use blueprints for that car if I were to go back in time and first work on it. Cat: I see. Moving over to the Pluto, do you think the Electility Thunor will be the main competitor as it's also going to be interesting to people looking for a sports sedan? BE: No, I don't think so. Sure, Pluto has impressive performance numbers but is by no means performance-oriented like the Thunor. Elektrisk Pluto is more luxury-oriented, which would sit alongside other full-size luxury sedans such as the Mercedes S-Class and BMW 7 Series, so I suppose jokes on Electility for creating an entire car solely to see Pluto as its competitor. Cat: No, the Electility is likely seen as a competitor by people who look more to the numbers (and the numbers alone) I think. Honestly I thought the Riolu is more a competitor due to it also being a luxury-oriented sedan. But, let's talk the Elektrisk Twitter for a second. Recently, the company has been posting interesting pictures, with even the bio being "A psychedelic-like chapter begins". Even your website has reflected this change. Cat: With this "Stardom" theme, is this related to the Constellation concept we saw at IAS? BE: It has nothing to do with the Constellation concept SUV, but it has been in the making since IAS 2021 and does involve a car (a few hints have been displayed at IAS 2021 during Elektrisk's attendance). Cat: With the Autoworks Winter Showcase around the corner, do you think Elektrisk or Hyperion will be skipping the event? Does Elektrisk plan on having another Electrifying Innovation-style event in the future? BE: Yes, I've decided to have Elektrisk and Hyperion skip the Showcase. What I've learned is that when you attend a show, all of your work time revolves around said show. However, with a self-presented event, its the other way around, meaning more freedom and control for yourself. I also simply no longer find auto shows that interesting anymore, since its just a breeding ground for people's hard work put to presenting to often get shat on without valid reason. As much as the "bringing the community together to show off what's in store" concept sounds good, its far from what the execution looks truly looks like. With that being said, it isn't the host's fault, I appreciate and respect the people who are behind the planning and setting up these events to happen. Cat: Interesting, I honestly think we can wrap this up now. You've answered any questions I personally have and this was a engaging conversation and insight into these two brands. Once again, thank you so much for agreeing to sit down with me. BE: Thanks for having me. Conclusion And that's a wrap. Not only did we get a window into the future of Hyperion, we also learned more about Elektrisk, what it has in store for the future, and it's community. Feel free to leave your take and pitch into the conversation. Also please leave some feedback on my questions and question style. Tell me if I was too "straight to the point" or what you think of the back and forth style I've used for interviews in the past. Thank you for reading!

  • Industry Digest 19: MiMOZAs Anyone?

Headline: MOZA and the Lightning Welcome new Italian car brand MOZA to the ro-automotive community. The new Blender-built brand has a luxury SUV in the works with a plug-in hybrid powertrain. The company did have a brief controversy with it's lightning inspired logo which has been called similar to IRL brand Polestar's and the famed Swedish car maker Elektrisk. We have been given no insight into the release date. The company is headed by President jamths and Vice President Kadicuss. We'll keep you updated on more news from the new company. Zanic Gears Up For Newer, Better, Stellaris If you were here during the summer or so, you'll remember the Zanic Stellaris, the company's first sedan, which had a extremely bad tune, a barebones interior, and a polarizing design. The company has made a new teaser for what could be the Stellaris, refined and redesigned to be a better car. The photo below was captioned "A not-so-legendary legend returns." From this teaser alone, we can see that the next Stellaris will be significantly improved. The new sedan also has answered this question: is it the next generation or a mid-cycle refresh? The answer is the latter, as not long after this we got the debut video of the two newest cars from Zanic: the Stellaris II and HD32-TC! The new Stellaris II will be featuring a massively improved design with a new headlight look from the old, quite weird one. The fit and finish is also seen to have been done better, making it more polished. Meanwhile, the massive land boat the HD32-TC is something indescribable. Is it a car carrier, is it a construction vehicle? CarBlox is bound to cover this vehicle more extensively Both automobiles were filmed without an interior, emphasizing the fact they are deep in development still. Both cars have no confirmed release date. 2023 Bravado Delado If the poor attempt at a pun wasn't able to tell you anything, the now 2023 Rovero Bravado, the upcoming coupe from the Quo Automotive sub-brand, has has it's model year set a year ahead, from 2022 to 2023. To quote Rovero CEO MXZBRO: "Update on the Bravado, since it’s delay has been unfortunately long, the model year will change from 2022 to 2023 seems pretty dumb but we just had to because of all these delays, we are so sorry for anyone still expecting the car soon, most likely won’t release until the entire Rovero team is ready for it, which could be any day now or maybe later on next year, again I’m sorry for this but we will try our best to get the Bravado out as soon as possible!" So, as MXZ said, if you're expecting the Bravado (you know I am, not only literally part of CarBlox's original Industry Digest , it's stunning to look at) then prepare to wait a year more. We'll keep you updated on any more information regarding the delays PIO NFT The renown British luxury car maker Performace International Operations or P.I.O/PIO made a surprising press release detailing the launch of PIO's NFT portfolio. The company is possibly dead serious, with a profile on Rarible and everything. There's two, PIO Trifecta Grille, featuring the company's signature grille design and PIO in Modern Cool, which is the PIO logo in white Furtura Book font with a light green to blue gradient background. PIO has made interesting products in the past, ranging from it's sausage rolls and food to it's high power water gun the DynamicSprayer to even arcade machines at IAS and nukes. But this takes it a step further, outside the ROBLOX marketplace. The Trifecta Grille and Modern Cool NFTs cost 0.069 Ethereum and ~0.001 Ethereum respectively and are "one of a kind". Personally, I feel this is a joke that has been taken to the next level, and CEO Wooper is making a point about NFTs being quite ridiculous. But if you are for some inexplicable reason interested, the collectables have yet to be sold and are still available as of writing this. SoFlora - Copycat Accusations It seems there's more accusations of copying being thrown when AzumaKyle's company Flora released their CrossPower E+, an electric car that has an eerily similar look to Solara's, well, entire lineup until the Blender made sedan, Yokomuki, and newest Mycro. People pointed this out in the reactions to the announcement post, and someone made a controversial statement all brick cars (that are just boxes and rectangles with no thought or original ideas, like the CrossPower over here) are bound to look the same. The CEO has NOT made a statement regarding the design. CarBlox will update you if the company says anything or pulls a Telestar when it released the dollar store PIO Ixander and remains wordless. Rejoice, Rokuta is Back! Remember Kuzumi, the former Quo brand turned separate company? Well, they just dropped two new teasers for their next car, the Amethyst. While the Kuzumi Axium turned Rokuta Eden is still in development, the company is apparently working on a new midsize sedan. We know absolutely nothing about this car, and there's not much I can add here. There is also the chance this IS the Eden, and the name was changed again. Venus is Not Dead If you needed any assurance, Venus, the "V" in EVA (Espila Venus Automotive) is anything but dead, only quiet. The company dropped a video of the upcoming SUV we saw from the Espila subsidiary at Inspiration Autoshow back during the summer along side the friendly reminder. We got no other information in the announcement UniQuiet For the past few months, UniQ has said nothing on it's upcoming models. UniQ CEO v3terann agreed to tell me why the company has said nothing since the Origala delays. When I asked him where UniQ is, he responded with this, quoting: "We were supposed to have the Origala out by now but after a long time of back and forth decision making and discussing we’ve decided it needed a redesign due to all the cosmetic issues with appearance and to give it a sportier and much more high quality look. Then the Maskarada (Aeromaster) concept has a production version being slowly but surely evolved from the concept as of right now. The Nathan is yet to be discussed about. There’s a lot of different designs with that in the process. Basically that’s it and at this point the Origala has a chance of being out by this year if everything works out smoothly in the long run. So to answer the question, “Where is UniQ ?”, well I’d put it as we are behind the curtains making the future." This means it's likely UniQ will not release any of their upcoming models until 2022-23, and that the delays will go for longer than most anticipated. Currently, only SEGment and Uemuki CEO 4rotr has an Origala, so if they will take it back and give her the redesigned one or let her keep it is unknown to us here at CarBlox. I recommend remaining patient, since life's busy and the UniQ team will also have quite the workload Thank you for reading! This article is not sponsored by any company. We've had this ad slot thing open for months and besides Quo, no one has even acknowledged it's existence.
